Lakeside is Buchanan Partners’ signature property, completed between 1999 and 2001 and the winner of prestigious awards from Loudoun County, the Northern Virginia chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, and the Greater Washington Commercial Association of Realtors. Lakeside is comprised of three nearly identical four-story Class A buildings totaling 305,000 rentable square feet fronting on a nine-acre lake. The lake is surrounded by a lushly landscaped brick promenade and accented by an original granite sculptural fountain by Jesus Bautista Moroles. In late 2005, Lakeside was acquired by New York-based Tishman Speyer for a record-setting $290 per square foot; the transaction was a runner-up for Best Suburban Office Deal of the Year in the Washington Business Journal’s Best Real estate Deals competition.
