400-Acre Mixed-Use Community Under Development

Gaithersburg, Md.-based Buchanan Partners is developing Arcola Center, a 400-acre mixed-use community at the intersection of Route 50, Route 606 and the Loudoun County Parkway in the Dulles area of Loudoun County, Va. The development, which is designed to be built during at 10- to 20-year period, will comprise up to 2.1 million square feet of office and commercial space; up to 1.1 million square feet of retail space; approximately 80 acres of town homes and multifamily housing; two hotels; and a civic/cultural tourism and educational center featuring a restored slave quarters from the early 1800s.
