MedAssurant Nabs 96,932 SF in Gold LEED Office

MedAssurant, a medical informatics service provider, has signed on as the primary tenant to occupy Bowie Corporate Center. The firm will be occupying 96,932-sf as its headquarters in the five-story 125,969-sf building, which is located at 4321 Collington Rd. Now, only 1,280 sf are available.

Todd Bosley and Tim Jaeger of CB Richard Ellis represented the owners, Buchanan Partners and majority partner JP Morgan Asset Management-Real Estate. Michael Sullivan and Joe Ruzecki of CBRE repped the tenant. Asking rates at the building are $31.50 per sf.

The Bowie Center is one of the first buildings in the US to achieve Gold certification within USGBC’s Core and Shell program. Buchanan originally had planned for it to be Silver LEED certified, Wendy Weiss, project manager at Buchanan tells GlobeSt.com. “But as we went through the process [of becoming certified] we ended up with enough points to become Gold.”
