Robert E. Buchanan - Partner
Joined Buchanan in July, 1970

Bob Buchanan is a third generation builder/developer involved in office, retail, industrial, and large mixed-use planned communities. A former Chairman of the Loudoun County Economic Development Commission, Mr. Buchanan also serves as a Board member of the Washington Airports Task Force, a Trustee of the Greater Washington Initiative, a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Washington District Council’s Executive Committee, and an Advisory Board Member of Ruppert Properties. He also serves on the Boards of the Metropolitan Center for the Visual Arts, the George C. Marshall International Center, the Dulles South Business Alliance, and he is a Trustee for Landon School. Mr. Buchanan was a charter member of the Advisory Board for the Route 28 Tax District, a founding member of the Ballston Partnership, and former President of the Eisenhower Partnership. He previously served on the Board of Directors of USLICO Corp (now merged into ING), Independence Air, the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association (NVBIA), and the Northern Virginia chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP). Mr. Buchanan holds a B.A. Degree from Yale University.

 
Brian S. Benninghoff - Partner
Joined Buchanan in July, 1997

Brian S. Benninghoff has been involved in real estate development, finance and leasing since 1985. Prior to forming Buchanan Partners, Mr. Benninghoff developed real estate in the Washington, D.C. and completed over $50 million of commercial and mixed-use projects, predominantly in Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia. Mr. Benninghoff is a board member of the Northern Virginia Chapter of NAIOP and recently retired as a member of the Board of the New Community After School Program. He earned his B.A. from Davidson College in 1979.

 
Steven P. Hubert - Partner
Joined Buchanan in July, 1997

Steven P. Hubert has been a builder/developer of office, industrial and mixed-use projects in the Washington Metropolitan Area since 1981. Prior to joining Buchanan Partners, Mr. Hubert was a principal in the InterGate Company, which developed over 4,000 acres of commercial, industrial, and residential land in Northern Virginia. He is a former President of Glen Construction Company, founded by his father, Whitie Hubert, in 1959. Mr. Hubert is active in the Urban Land Institute, The U.S. Green Building Council, and the Washington, D.C. Construction Material Recovery Coalition. He earned his B.S. from Colorado State University in 1980.
