Corporate Culture at Buchanan Partners

Members of the Buchanan Partners staff discover and appreciate that being part of our team is more than developing land and building structures. It is also about developing values and building relationships. Our Corporate Culture group brings focus to our core values through relationships with co-workers, partners and consultants; involvement with local communities and charities; and an appreciation of the natural environment and the arts.

To accomplish this, the Corporate Culture group plans several company-wide events throughout the year. These events are designed to allow our staff to get to know each other better in a context different from our normal business environment. This process allows us to learn more about and ultimately respect each other’s roles and responsibilities in the company. It also gives our more tenured staff a chance to expose newer employees to our company history and projects.

Corporate Culture events have included a company bus tour of our projects, silent auctions to raise money for local charities, an annual Halloween Party, Chili Cook-Off, a company hike, and holiday pot-luck and party. We also participate in organized volunteer activities, enriching our ties to the community and creating a culture of caring and giving back to the communities in which we work.

Another important aspect of our corporate culture is appreciation of the natural environment and the arts. Events are planned to take advantage of our rich natural resources and to learn about local and national history. Incorporating art within our projects exposes our staff to the beauty that art brings to all of our lives. Buchanan Partners incorporates these values into our daily work environment to create a work environment that is challenging as well as fulfilling.
